Camp Connect

Camp Connect

We are so excited to be working towards a Family Retreat Center. The center will offer year round classes and activities for local families and a Summer Camp program, open to families around the country!  We plan to offer weekend and week long family camp experiences where parents will have training and respite time while kids learn valuable skills in communication, self regulation, and behavior management.

“I wanted to thank you for the fun time last night! I'm so grateful there was enough room for me to do the art class with my children! It was a night that really helped us connect. I don't know what it was exactly, but they seemed better able to let down their guard and have fun with me. That doesn't happen very often. It usually turns into someone sabotaging it and creating a huge fight. Last night after we got in the car we were chatting away and laughing! We went and got ice cream and when we got home we watched a movie and laughed a lot! That doesn't happen often for us. Thank you for the peaceful place you have created and for inviting me too which allowed us that wonderful night of connecting.”

Ready for LIfe

Ready for Life

Our 'Ready for Life' program will assist young adults who are transitioning from foster care to adult living. By providing a structured work/life environment, and through working in various areas of the camp, teens can learn valuable life skills, gain real-word job experience, receive positive training and feedback, and be prepared to live on their own. They may apply to work as a part time camp counselor at age 16, and for full time residential staff at age 18.
